Wordle® took the world by storm during its introduction in the tail-end of the COVID-19 pandemic. With its massive popularity, it unintentionally created a subgenre of its own, daily logic word games, and spawned many variants.
These Wordle spinoffs became popular on their own, as they provided a different twist or gimmick to the original formula. In this comprehensive list, we'll be ranking* 40 of the best puzzles based on grid count/type, challenge, replayability and more!
*This list is based on our opinion, and other players/users may have different receptions of a game/title.

Criteria for ranking
Not every Wordle game clone can just make it in this list, as these will be the criteria we'll use to determine which ones make the cut:
- Color-feedback system (or something similar). This is what made Wordle what it is. Not the five-letter word guessing, nor the emoji-based social sharing feature. The offshoot must have a color-feedback system or something similar to its main gameplay loop.
- Daily mode or Unlimited mode. Wordle variations need to have a daily or unlimited play aspect to them. While you can't play as many rounds as you want in the original Wordle without a subscription, it does offer a free game daily (which is what most people played).
- Accessible. Another facet that made Wordle explode in popularity. The game needs to be accessible via a web browser or an app.

This Wordle is currently the hardest possible spinoff we can think of. Unlike most other titles, this puzzle game is adjustable, allowing you to play 1 to 2315 grids at once. However, keep in mind that this site will CRASH the browser of a normal device if you input 500+ grids to solve (yes, we tried it on a phone, tablet and laptop, don't do it.)
